The restoration showcase is your chance to show us how you've come to be
where you are now. All those hours of hard graft in the shed with one
dream in mind - getting the brute back on the road.
You can send us your pictures direct by e-mail or by post with a return address (don't
worry, I know how important the pictures are and I promise to look after them
and return them safely).

Club members Peter French and Barry Hartman of
Astral Classic Cars discussing points of the final part of the body and
chassis restoration of Peter's Austin Healey 3000. This car has been
resting in bits for the last 35 years whilst Peter has been working
abroad.
Peter, an engineer himself, has restored all the other parts of the car
and packed them away ready to put back on the car when the body and
chassis are painted.
Peter is hoping to complete the restoration as soon as possible. |

New pictures of Club member Andy Lundie's
Austin Healey 3000 Mk3 (BJ8) which he is restoring. Andy said:
"I am so pleased with the help I get from the Healey Drivers
Club. At Club nights you can chat to all the other Healey owners;
there is always someone that can help you with a problem on the car or
steer you in the right direction - where to get things done from engine
grinding, gearbox work, overdrive repairs, paintwork and trimming, to just
good old technical advice. Also you can get so much help from
companies like A-H Spares."
Andy went on to say:
"Its so much like a big family of good friends, if you're stuck
with a problem someone will come round and give you the benefit of their
advice. It all helps spur you on. I am looking forward to the
car being on the road so I can take part in some of the fantastic events
run by the Healey Drivers Club." |
