Description of Healey Drivers Club Events
New Year Dinner – This is a post Christmas event which is usually
held in the South Devon area of the club and organised by the Social Secretary.
Drive It Day – The FBHVC ‘National Drive It Day’ is a National
Event for owners of classic cars to demonstrate on the Sunday nearest St.
Georges Day for the General Public and National
Government to see the strength of the Classic & Vintage Vehicles present in this
country.
The John Healey Memorial & International Weekend – is an annual
spring social event where national and international
members, gather at a Hotel over a weekend enjoying the
local hospitality and visiting various attractions with their Healey’s. This
usually includes various members of the Healey Family
attending.
Classic Le Mans – Is when a group of members take their Healey’s
to Classic Le Mans. The club organises the Tickets for Le Mans but it is up to
the individual members to make their own arrangements
for Ferry and Hotel accommodation. This is coordinated by the Club
Committee.
Powderham Vintage and Classic Vehicle Weekend – This an event when
the Healey Drivers have a Club stand exhibiting the range of Healey’s owned by
club members. This two day event is held at Powderham
Castle which is located just south west of Exeter beside of the River Exe.
Silverstone Weekend – A group of members taking their Healey’s
onto a Club Stand at the Silverstone Racing Circuit in
conjunction with other clubs. This is coordinated by
the Club Committee.
The Exmoor Rut is our annual autumn non competitive classic run
with a suggested easy to follow route directions for crews to enjoy the
unrivalled scenery (weather
permitting), to and around the Exmoor National Park with possibilities of seeing
the famous Red Deer at this time of the year. This
event enables the entrants to refresh themselves with either picnic or
pub/eating house of their choice – of which there are several en route.
Christmas Dinner – Is organised prior to Christmas and held in
Cornwall and organised by a Cornish Committee Member.
